We love banana slugs, too. Upon finding them at our favorite place on earth, I will photograph them incessantly and the kids will do gross things (like kissing them) to encourage more photography. Hilarious.
The blown glass one is EVER so much more attractive than the live ones!
The first time I saw banana slugs, I had moved to Germany, which has weather similar to WA, from sunny California. I kept seeing these brown things on the walking trails and thinking, "why does everyone keep letting their dogs poop on the trail?" Never figured it out until I moved to WA and saw an identical "poop" moving! Yes, I'm a quick one....:p
Too funny! LOL...Where did you guys find that? I bet my dad would love it. We once gave him a slug cookbook for Father's Day!
ReplyDeleteLovely! I think it should inspire you to knit a banana slug! :)
ReplyDeleteThose things totally creep me out in a way that I will be visiting your page several times today to creep myself out. *shudder*

Ick. Those pictures actually sent a shiver through my whole body. Or is is a shudder? Either way, they're just giant, slithering boogers, aren't they?
ReplyDeleteI have a wooden fridge magnet one. I'll never forget the footlong one I saw in real life on one of the gulf islands,

I'll wager they taste like chicken, although I don't care to find out.
