- My joy (aside from my husband, kids and Schipperke dogs) is any aspect of the fiber arts. I knit, spin, weave, embroider and sew any chance I get. Currently, I alternate my time between my home in Washington State and a second home in near Fresno, California. My husband and I are each counting the days when he can retire and we won't have to commute to California any longer.

Hi Kathleen - I hope your Washington home was not affected by the recent flooding in the Puget sound area -
Our NW Shetland Sheep Owners Assoc. has put together an On Line Benefit Auction to come to the aid of the Black Sheep Creamery in Adna that was so devistated by the recent flooding in that area. I have links on my blog to our Auction site - there are some pretty cool fiber things on it -
